Kirk Lynn writes plays, often with the Rude Mechs theatre collective, of which he is one of six artistic directors, and is head of Playwriting and Directing in the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas at Austin. Lynn lives in Austin with his wife, the poet Carrie Fountain, and their children.
